Mildred 'Millie' Hovey

NEW LONDON -- Mildred Hovey, 83, formerly of New London died Tuesday at North Memorial Hospice in Robbinsdale.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Peace Lutheran Church in New London. Burial will be at Lebanon Cemetery in New London.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Home in New London and for one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday.
She was born May 6, 1923, in Staples to Ernest and Laura (Clausen) Hendershot. She attended the Bemidji State Educational System. She performed music with her family in the upper Midwest.
She married Wilton Hovey on Nov. 29, 1942. She was a singer, guitar player, and a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughters: Sharon (and Neal) Van Fossan of Pleasant Hill, Calif., Susan Hovey of St. Louis Park, Sandra (and Bruce) Falkum of Burnsville, MN; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Leon Hendershot and Raymond Hendershot, both of Duluth.
She was preceded in death by her husband; infant daughter: Lucinda Kay; and two sisters.
