WILLMAR -- Lloyd Maynard Bergeson, 79, of Moorhead, formerly of Willmar, died Thursday at Merit Care Hospital in Fargo, N.D.
The service is at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Moorhead.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Korsmo Funeral Chapel in Moorhead, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
He was born Jan. 1, 1928, in Willmar to Bendie and Gladys (Hagen) Bergeson. He grew up on a farm and attended school in rural Spicer. He was employed at Great Northern Railroad, Central Dairy and the Willmar Police Department.
On April 10, 1948, he married Lois Bergeson in Willmar. They moved to Moorhead in 1965, where he worked for Dakon. He spent the next 30 years selling farm equipment throughout Minnesota and North Dakota, first for Dakon and then as a wholesale representative for several farm equipment companies. After retirement he and his wife spent their winters in Mesa, Ariz., and summers at Pelican Lake.
He is survived by a daughter, Cindi Brandon of Moorhead; two sons, Steven (and Susan) Bergeson of Jordan and David (and Natalie) Bergeson of Los Angeles, Calif.; four grandchildren; a sister, Doris Pitcher of Spicer; and a brother, Marvin Bergeson of Willmar.
His wife preceded him in death.
