C. Harold Peterson

TUCSON, Ariz. -- C. Harold "Pete" Peterson, 83, of Tucson, died Monday at home after a long struggle with lung disease.
Service will be 6 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be sent to Casa de la Luz Hospice in Tucson.
He was born Oct. 24, 1923, in St. Peter. He was a veteran of World War II and served 25 months overseas and was awarded 4 battle stars on the ETO ribbon.
He graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1947 and the University of Minnesota Law School in 1950. He practiced with George Hulstrand and Leif Langsjoen in Willmar from 1954 to 1958 and then joined the Law Department of the Soo Line Railroad, where he practiced commerce law before retiring in l985. They moved to Tucson in 2000.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joanne (Mortensen), sons Drew Peterson and Rick Peterson, daughter Mimi (and Terry) Lewell, six grandchildren, brother Carl (and Mim) Manfred and sister Alfhild (and Carl) Maedl.
