Warren E. Johnson

LAKE LILLIAN -- Warren Eugene Johnson, 84, of Lake Lillian died Monday at Rice Care Center in Willmar.
The service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Tripolis Lutheran Church, rural Kandiyohi. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Harvey Anderson Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Memorials are preferred to Rice Hospice.
He was born Oct. 8, 1922, in Fahlun Township, Kandiyohi County, to Junior and Lillian (Nelson) Johnson. He attended district school in Fahlun Township and graduated from Willmar High School.
He married Leone Hanson on June 17, 1944, in rural Kandiyohi. They farmed in Fahlun Township, where he was a lifetime resident. He owned and operated a livestock and freight trucking firm out of Kandiyohi from 1965 to 1970. Leone died in 2002. He retired from farming in 2006 but continued to live on the farm.
He was a member of Tripolis Lutheran Church. He had served on the church council and ushered.
He is survived by his children: Kay (and Ralph) Gilbertson of Moorhead, Patricia (and Jim) Knutson of Willmar, Rick (and Kathy) Johnson of Jackson, Timothy (and Teresa) Johnson of Lake Lillian; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister: June Gustafson of Moorhead.
He was preceded in death by his wife and a grandson.
