BENSON -- Richard Kevin "Lippy'' Lindstrom, 51, of Benson died Monday at Fairview Ridges Hospital, Burnsville.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Benson. Burial will be in the Benson City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church and one hour prior to the service Saturday. Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home of Benson.
He was born Feb. 1, 1956, in Benson to Richard and Colleen Lindstrom. He grew up in Murdock and graduated from Murdock High School in 1974.
He married Toni Stone on Sept. 4, 1976, in Benson. He worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for nearly 20 years. He drove the Benson city and Benson Public School buses. He also owned and operated Lindstrom Lawn Doings from 1995 to 2005.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Benson. He coached youth hockey in Benson.
He is survived by his wife; his children: Derrick (and Christina) Lindstrom of Apple Valley, and Deidre Lindstrom (and fiancé Kevin Wong) of St. Paul; one granddaughter; his brother: Tom (and Julie) Lindstrom of Clontarf; and his sister: Connie (and Randy) Ryski of Eden Prairie.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother.
