James 'Louie' Fladeboe

WALKER -- James "Louie" Fladeboe, 77, of Walker, formerly of Willmar, died Wednesday at his home.
The service will be at 1 p.m. today at Hope Lutheran Church in Walker. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service today at the church. Memorials are preferred to Hope Lutheran. Arrangements are by Dennis Funeral Home in Walker.
He was born Dec. 15, 1930, in Fargo, N.D., to Oliver and Anna (Krogh) Fladeboe. He grew up in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School. He served in the United States Navy. He worked at a family auto business in Willmar.
He married Marilou Eid on May 17, 1952. They lived in Willmar. In 1960, they purchased Journey's End Lodge on Leech Lake, which they owned and operated for nearly 20 years. He then became employed at the Ford dealership in Walker.
He was involved in the Jaycees and Walker Rotarians and was a member of the school board.
He is survived by two sons: Kent (and Sue) Fladeboe and Roger (and Linda Klinner) Fladeboe; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and a brother.
