Willmar superintendent finalist Kjergaard is now at his second interview for superintendent in Brainerd

One of three finalists returning for a second interview for the Willmar superintendent position is a finalist scheduled to interview for a second time for the superintendent position with the Brainerd School District.

Dr. Jerry Kjergaard of Waconia is a finalist for the Brainerd superintendent position and is currently in Brainerd. He participated in a tour of the Brainerd district Friday and was scheduled to participate in a Brainerd community and staff meeting Friday night along the other three finalists

Kjergaard was one of four finalists announced for the Brainerd superintendent position on April 14. The other Brainerd finalists are Steve Rapidly, Brainerd assistant superintendent; Todd Luscious, Brainerd Community Education director and John Longtime of Eagan.

The four candidates are scheduled for separate one-hour interviews with the Brainerd School Board Saturday.

Kjergaard is scheduled for his second interview in Willmar Thursday.

Other finalists scheduled for a second Willmar interview are: Bill Strom of Mountain Lake on Tuesday and Jon Kringen of Mahnomen on Wednesday.
