GLENWOOD -- Ruby Irene Pehan, 95, of Glenwood, died Saturday at Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Glenwood Lutheran Church in Glenwood. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood and for one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.

She was born May 3, 1913, in Glenwood to James William and Veronica (Schubert) Reed. She grew up on a farm near Glenwood and attended school through the eighth grade.

She married Lloyd John Pehan on Dec. 6, 1933, and they lived on a farm in Glenwood Township. She was a homemaker.

She was a lifelong member of Glenwood Lutheran Church and participated in ladies aid and circle.

She is survived by her children: LeRoy (and Diane) Pahan of Morris, Audrey (and Kenny) Thorson of New London, Curtis (and Bonnie) Pahan of Glenwood, Lloyd "Bugs" (and Kathy) Pahan of Glenwood and Linda (and Jerry) Rupert of Maple Grove; daughter-in-law: Mary Pehan of Glenwood; 15 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters: Esther Thompson of Alexandria, Fern Rausch of Glenwood and Eldorise Bye of Hoffman; and one brother: Herbert Reed of Brooten.

She was preceded in death by her husband in June 1989; a son: David Pehan; a daughter-in-law: Darlene Pahan; four sisters; and two brothers.
