BENSON -- Evelyn Forbord, 87, of Benson, died Monday at Homestead Place in Murdock.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Benson. Burial will be in Benson City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson and for one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
She was born Dec. 13, 1920, in Cashel Township, Swift County, to Andrew and Kristine (Bergset) Olson. She attended school through the eighth grade and then worked for a farm family.
She married Clarence Forbord on April 18, 1942, in Benson. She was a housewife and also worked at the Benson Produce and part-time at Johnson's Motel.
She was a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children: Randy Forbord of Benson, Brad Forbord of DeGraff, Tammy (and Jim) Miller of DeGraff, and Scott (and Jolene) Forbord of Willmar; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother: Arol Olson of Benson.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1975, five brothers and four sisters.
