Motor vehicle theft

NEW LONDON -- A missing vehicle, a 1992 Ford, was reported around 7:25 a.m. Sunday along State Highway 9. The car was discovered later east of County Road 5, along 240th Avenue, in some trees. The damaged vehicle was towed back to the complainant's residence.


WILLMAR -- The theft of two laptop computers was reported around 7:50 p.m. Sunday along the 1300 block of 24th Street Northwest.

Property damage

WILLMAR -- Graffiti on a sidewalk was reported around 7:45 a.m. Monday along the 1400 block of Gorton Avenue.

WILLMAR -- Graffiti was reported around 8:40 a.m. Monday along the 200 block of Fifth Street Southwest.


SPICER -- A 41-year-old New London woman was arrested for shoplifting around 7:30 a.m. Monday at Jahnke's Foods, 375 Highway 23 S. The theft was a prescription drug.

NEW LONDON -- A Benson man was arrested for fourth-degree driving while impaired around midnight Saturday along State Highway 23 near New London.

Fire calls

WILLMAR -- The Willmar Fire Department was called to a cooking fire around 11 a.m. Monday along the 1600 block of Seventh Avenue Southeast. The department was on scene for about 40 minutes.
