1-year-old girl injured in Becker County accident

A 1-year-old girl from Detroit Lakes, Minn., was in critical condition after a head-on collision that injured six in Becker County Friday afternoon.

Abigail Fingalson was airlifted to a Fargo hospital following the crash. She was listed in critical condition, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

No information about her injuries was available Saturday.

The accident happened at about 3:18 p.m. Friday at County Road 21 and County Road 32, about seven miles north of Detroit Lakes, the Minnesota State Patrol reported. A southbound Dodge Neon lost control on the icy road and struck a northbound Buick LeSabre.

Blake Fingalson, 23, and Constance Fingalson, 21, both of Detroit Lakes, were in the Dodge Neon, along with the 1-year-old passenger. The adults received non-life threatening injuries.

Tonya Azure, 33, of White Earth, Minn., was the driver of the LeSabre. Two passengers, 10-year-old Aimee Azure and 5-year-old Tierra Villebrun, were riding in the LeSabre. Each sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to St. Mary's Regional Hospital in Detroit Lakes.
