WFN comes to Charter

ROCHESTER -- Charter Communications announced the addition of the World Fishing Network to its digital sports tier service Monday.

It is available to subscribers on channel 407.

WFN is self-described as North America's only 24-hour fishing lifestyle channel. It is dedicated to "all segments of fishing with programming that covers instruction, tips, tournaments, travel, food, boating, outdoor liefstyle and more," according a press release.

WFN will also feature Kent Hrbek Outdoors, which is hosted by the former Minnesota Twins first baseman of the 1987 and 1991 World Series championship seasons.

The network will also air shows from Babe Winkelman, Bill Dance, Al Lindner, Scott Martin, George Poveromo, Charlie Moore, Bob Izumi and more.

WFN was launched in December 2005 and is now available in more than 20 million households in North America.
