*** WILLMAR -- Emily Schueler and Bethany Urban will be crowned as the 2009 Kandiyohi County dairy princesses at the county dairy banquet at 7:30 p.m. March 7 at the Kandi Entertainment Center in Willmar. *** NORTH BRANCH -- Dairy producers, friends and supporters are invited to attend the 2009 Annual All-Breed Dairy Convention from March 5 to 7 at the Grand Casino Hotel & Convention Center in Hinckley. The event includes the annual meetings of the Minnesota Holstein Association and the Minnesota Purebred Dairy Cattle Association, plus a luncheon to honor the Purebred Dairy Cattle Association's outstanding breeders, and an all-dairy banquet honoring members from all cattle associations. *** WILLMAR -- The U of M Extension Service and Kandiyohi County Environmental Services will conduct a seminar on the value of manure from 9 a.m. to noon March 11 at the Kandiyohi County Office Building in Willmar. Crop and livestock producers can learn about the economic value of manure and calculate the value of manure for their operation.
