- Belle Marie Milner, 50, of Willmar, was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years of probation, 55 days in the county jail, 100 hours of community service and a $1,000 fine on an amended charge of fourth-degree drug possession.

Under a plea agreement, the charge was reduced from a first-degree charge and two additional felony drug sale charges were dismissed. She received a stay of imposition on her sentence, which means if she complies with the court's conditions, the conviction will be reduced to a misdemeanor.

Milner, and her husband, Russell Wayne Milner, 43, were both charged after Nov. 19 when a task force agent and a confidential informant sold the couple an ounce of methamphetamine that they said they were buying for others, who they said were from Fargo and staying at their home waiting for the drugs.

Earlier in the day, the informant had received $2,200 for the drugs from Russell Milner, who was to get the drugs later in the day. Agents used previously seized drugs from a closed case and packaged the ounce distinctively to be able to identify the drugs later.

The agent, informant and Russell Milner met in a Willmar parking lot and completed the deal. He was later arrested and had the drugs, in the same package, on his person.

The agent and the informant then contacted Belle Milner and asked her to meet them to pick up the same drugs, which they said Russell had not received, in Willmar. She met them in the same parking lot, said the Fargo people, who paid for the drugs, were waiting and received the ounce of methamphetamine. She was later arrested and the drugs found on her person also matched the packaging used by the agents.

- Travis Sentell Smith, 23, of Willmar, was sentenced Thursday to 30 days in jail, which can be deferred if he is in compliance with probation, a $1,000 fine and five years of probation on a felony charge for aiding and abetting the sale of marijuana.

Smith received a stay of adjudication on the sentence, which means if he complies with the court's conditions for five years, no conviction will appear on his record.

As part of a plea agreement another fifth-degree drug charge was dismissed.

The charges were filed after Jan. 4 when a CEE-VI Drug Task Force agent spoke with a confidential informant who was going to purchase an ounce of marijuana from Smith for $100. The informant and another agent went to Smith's residence, and from there went to the home of Adam Buento III, 29, of Willmar, who was charged with two felonies and has a warrant for his arrest in the case, to pick up the marijuana.

After the deal was complete, the informant handed over to agents a bag of green leafy substance that tested positive as 23.5 grams of marijuana.
