Still a difficult commute this morning in west central Minnesota

WILLMAR - Driving conditions continue to be extremely hazardous this morning in west central Minnesota.

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation's traveler information Web site, roads are slippery, and blowing snow is creating white-out conditions at times in Chippewa, Kandiyohi, Lac qui Parle, Redwood, Renville and Yellow Medicine counties.

In areas including Big Stone, Pope, Stevens and Swift counties, slippery conditions and packed snow on the roads are making driving difficult.

Difficult driving conditions are reported in Meeker and McLeod counties due to blowing snow and icy patches.

MnDOT reports fair driving conditions to the southwest in such counties as Lincoln and Lyon.

Some roads in northwestern Minnesota are still reported as closed this morning.

Portions of U.S. Highway 10, state Highway 200 and state Highway 210 were closed during Tuesday's winter storm. According to the state traveler information Web site, the roads are still closed this morning.

Interstate 94 has reopened this morning, according to the traveler information Web site.
