NEW LONDON --Cristi Nicole Reinke, 21, of Spicer was airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital after being injured in a four-wheeler accident Friday in the 12000 block of Northeast County Road 40. She was reported in fair condition Sunday night.
Local emergency crews, including Spicer First Responders and the New London Fire Department responded to the scene of the 9:45 p.m. accident.
The medical helicopter landed in the New London-Spicer Middle School parking lot, according to an initial report with the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Department.
No further information was available.
WILLMAR -- An accident involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian was reported at 2 p.m. Friday at Southeast 15th Street and Becker Avenue. Both individuals involved with the incident went to the Law Enforcement Center to report it.
WILLMAR -- A 46-year-old man was struck by a vehicle Saturday at Southeast Becker Avenue and Lakeland Drive. The incident was reported at 5 p.m. Witnesses said a silver or gold Ford Taurus that was driven by a man wearing sunglasses, struck the individual and drove away. There was no information about the injuries to the victim.
WILLMAR -- A two-vehicle crash was reported at 6:33 p.m. Saturday on U.S. Highway 70 at the intersection with Kandiyohi County Road 90. According to the initial police report the vehicles were driven by a 68-year-old man from Appleton and a 22-year-old man from Duluth. No further information was available but police said there were no serious injuries.
NEW LONDON -- A two-vehicle crash involving a New London woman and a St. Cloud woman was reported at 4:32 p.m. Friday on Northeast Highway 23 and 187th Avenue. Minor injuries were reported.
WILLMAR -- A woman told police her 2-year old son had been struck by a car Saturday at Rice Park. The incident was reported at 2:20 p.m.
WILLMAR -- Jergenson Auto Repair and Tires and Towing, 1951 NE 48th Ave., reported the theft of two chrome tire rims at 6 p.m. Friday.
WILLMAR-- An individual was cited Friday for failing to pay for $41 in gas from the Holiday Gas Station, 817 Litchfield Ave. S.W.
WILLMAR -- A tackle box and GPS unit were reported stolen from the back of a pickup truck located in the 400 block of Southwest Trott Avenue.
WILLMAR -- An employee at Rice Memorial Hospital reported the theft of a wallet that was taken while the individual was at work. The incident was reported at 10:21 a.m. Saturday.
WILLMAR -- A 29-year-old Willmar man was cited at 9:15 a.m. Sunday for attempting to steal two socket sets at Menards.
WILLMAR -- Residents reported watching three men steal a 26-inch, dark blue mountain bike at 8:34 p.m. Friday in the 1000 block of Southeast Trott Avenue.
RAYMOND -- A window was broken and a microwave taken during a burglary in the 8000 block of Southwest 75th Street. The incident was reported at 9:25 a.m. Saturday. A suspect was identified.
SPICER -- A rural Spicer resident reported that a window had been broken on a building and several items removed. The report, filed at 10:07 a.m. Saturday, indicated that it appeared all the items had been left in the yard and that nothing was missing.
WILLMAR -- A woman told police that her 18-year-old daughter woke up at 2:57 a.m. Sunday to discover an individual in their house, located in the 800 block of Southwest 17th Street. The person was described as a 17- to 23-year-old Hispanic man, who was about 6 feet. He fled the home. The family was checking to see if anything was missing from the home.
RAYMOND -- A 23-year-old man was assaulted by three individuals at 1:53 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Southwest Fourth Street. The individuals face third-degree assault charges.
WILLMAR -- A 31-year-old woman told police at 2:07 a.m. Sunday that she'd been assaulted by her boyfriend in the 400 block of Northwest 30th Street at Regency Estates West. The man was arrested a short time later on felony charges of domestic assault.
WILLMAR -- A renter who left town for the weekend apparently forgot to turn the stove off before leaving. The Willmar Fire Department was called to the Lakview Highrise at 7:34 p.m. Friday to respond to a report of smoke coming from an apartment. When fire crews entered the building they discovered a kettle of boiled eggs that was cooking on a low heat. The apartment was ventilated to remove the smoke and a note was left on the kitchen table for the renter.
WILLMAR -- An individual reported that bottle rockets were being fired at houses on North Atlantic Avenue at 4:24 p.m. Friday. A female was reportedly driving a vehicle and a male was shooting the bottle rockets from the window.
