Two to hospital after crash northeast of Belgrade
SPRING HILL TOWNSHIP -- Two people were taken to Melrose Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday in Spring Hill Township of Stearns County.
Willie Ole Kjeldahl, 71, of Brooten, was eastbound on County Road 14 in a Geo Metro. He was unable to stop at a stop sign because of icy road conditions and struck a Chevy Lumina driven by Julie Mae Waldorf, 65, of Belgrade. Waldorf had been northbound on 353rd Avenue.
SPICER -- The theft of a television and a shovel from a fish house was reported around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday on Green Lake. The value of the items was estimated at $440.
SPICER -- The theft of a propane tank and fishing tackle from a fish house was reported around 8 p.m. Tuesday on Nest Lake.
WILLMAR -- A caller from Yuba City, Calif., reported the theft of their identity around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday to local law enforcement. The citizen said someone working in Willmar was using their family members' Social Security numbers.
WILLMAR -- A drug violation was reported around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Willmar Middle School, 201 Willmar Ave. S.E. A 14-year-old female possessed a controlled substance.
WILLMAR -- A 20-year-old Richfield woman was arrested on charges of driving while impaired around 10 p.m. Tuesday along U.S. Highway 12 near County Road 9. An 18-year-old passenger was also cited for underage consumption.
