WILLMAR -- A business on the 1600 block of South First Street reported over the weekend the theft of a hand-held computer valued at $8,000.

Dog owner cited

WILLMAR -- A 42-year-old woman was issued citations for allowing a dog to run loose and allowing a dog to cause harm. A Willmar woman told police Thursday that she had been bitten by the woman's dog. She sought medical care for the dog bite.

An officer arriving to investigate the incident on Friday reported the dog was running loose and issued the citations. The incident was reported in the area of the 1400 Lakeland Drive Northeast.

Disorderly conduct

WILLMAR -- A 49-year-old man was charged with disorderly conduct and transported to a detoxification facility after causing a disturbance shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday at an apartment building on the 400 block of 16th Avenue Southwest in Willmar. The man reportedly was yelling and pushing buzzers at the building.


NEW LONDON -- Kandiyohi County sheriff's officers responded to a report at 12:49 a.m. Sunday of two males, ages 24 and 39, fighting at the New London Bowl and Pro Shop, 19 Southeast Ash Street, New London. Neither man wanted charges filed.

ATWATER -- Sheriff's officers also investigated a report at 11:47 a.m. Friday that a suspect suddenly punched a man at the Kodiak Saloon, 204 West Atlantic Avenue, Atwater. The victim did not suffer any injuries but said the punch was unprovoked. The suspect punched the man across the head and fled out the door.
