NEW LONDON -- Tools were reported missing after a break-in reported at a rural New London home on 191st Avenue Northeast.

The theft occurred some time Thursday night and was reported Friday to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Department.

Two saws, two Weed-Eaters and a gas can were taken from a shed. A truck parked on the property also was broken into and the ignition damaged.

RAYMOND -- A semi tractor parked at a construction site south of Raymond had its windows smashed. The vandalism was reported Thursday, according to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office.

The damage apparently occurred over the Labor Day weekend but wasn't discovered until a few days later because rain and muddy conditions prevented workers from going out to the site, which is along County Road 7.

WILLMAR -- Local law enforcement officials teamed up with the Swift County Sheriff's Office to arrest a man on suspicion of domestic assault Thursday evening in Kerkhoven.

The 23-year-old suspect left the scene of the assault, taking along a 3-year-old child, and reportedly drove to the home of a relative in Willmar. He was arrested and taken into custody after Willmar Police officers located his car parked outside the relative's home on Trott Avenue Southwest.
