Sartell woman killed on icy roads

SAUK CENTRE -- A 21-year old Sartell woman killed Thursday on an icy section of Interstate 94 has been identified.

The State Patrol says Katlyn Dold was killed when the 2002 Dodge Stratus she was driving spun out and was struck by a semi near Sauk Centre.

Both vehicles were going west on I-94 at the time of the 2 p.m. accident when Dold lost control of the vehicle and spun in front of the semi, which was driven by John James, 52, of Browerville. James was not injured.

The road conditions were icy at the time, according to the State Patrol.

I-94 between Alexandria and Moorhead remains closed today because of blowing and drifting snow.

The eastbound lane of state Highway 28 near Morris is also closed today.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is reporting that most roads in west central Minnesota are in difficult driving condition.
