Willmar, Marshall men hurt in crash near Granite Falls

GRANITE FALLS -- The drivers of two vehicles were both taken to Granite Falls Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle crash around 12:10 a.m. Tuesday south of Granite Falls.

According to the State Patrol, Timothy L. Johnson, 45, of Willmar, was driving a 2005 Chevy Cobalt that sideswiped a 1997 Acura driven by Toua Vang, 36, of Marshall. The crash happened along State Highway 23 near County Road 17.

Johnsons sustained a non-life-threatening injury and Vang was treated and released.

Also responding were the Granite Falls police, fire and rescue personnel, along with the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's office and the Upper Sioux Police Department.
