WILLMAR -- The Willmar Municipal Utilities Commission today tabled consideration of written proposals from three firms that were contacted to conduct an assessment of the utilities organizational structure. The commissioners tabled the proposals to give the commission's Labor Committee an opportunity to develop a scope of services under which the assessment would be conducted.

In other business, the commissioners approved a resolution offered by Doug Lindblad to extend General Manager Bruce Gomm's 30-day paid administrative leave for another 30 days. The commission on Dec. 12 voted to place Gomm on paid administrative leave after voting to investigate possible misconduct of a utility employee or employees.

Lindblad said the St. Cloud law firm investigating the possible misconduct of a utility employee or employees has not yet completed its investigation.

In other business, the commission organized for 2012 and elected Dave Baker president, replacing Lindblad.
