Driving conditions are fair in western Minn.

WILLMAR -- Driving conditions are fair in the region with light snow and some icy patches.

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation's 511 Traffic and Road Conditions website, driving conditions are fair across most of the southern third of Minnesota.

The National Weather Service forecasts that snow will be ending by mid-afternoon in Willmar and west central Minnesota.

In this region, a cooperative weather observer in Madison in Lac qui Parle County reported 1.2 inches of snow to the National Weather Service, and 1.9 inches was reported near Milroy in Redwood County.
