Man arrested after fleeing police from Carver, Renville and Sibley counties
HECTOR -- An armed suspect is in the Renville County Jail pending charges stemming from a domestic incident that began in Carver County and led to a pursuit late Friday afternoon by multiple law enforcement agencies.
According to a news release from Hector Police Chief Patrick Callahan, a McLeod County deputy located the 47-year-old man's vehicle entering eastern Renville County and attempted to stop the vehicle. A pursuit ensued and ended in northwest Sibley County, where the man exited the vehicle, displayed a knife and disobeyed officer's orders. He was ultimately subdued with the use of stun gun.
The suspect, James Allen Eiring, was evaluated at the Renville County Hospital and Clinics and released to the custody of the Hector Police Department.
Responding agencies included the McLeod County Sheriff's Office, Brownton Police Department, Buffalo Lake Police Department, Hector Police Department, Renville County Sheriff's Office, Sibley County Sheriff's Office and Buffalo Lake Ambulance.
