Corn farmers elect members to Minn. Corn Council
SHAKOPEE -- Minnesota's corn farmers have recently elected four members to the Minnesota Corn Research & Promotion Council, all four are returning incumbents.
Returning to the council are Doug Albin of Clarkfield; Myron "Mickey" Peterson of Sacred Heart; Gerald Tumbleson of Sherburn; and Lori Feltis of Stewartville. The newly elected council members will serve three-year terms.
The Minnesota Corn Research & Promotion Council is an 11-person elected body consisting of corn farmers from across Minnesota. The council is responsible for the oversight and allocation of Minnesota's corn check-off fund, and shares a common mission with the Minnesota Corn Growers Association: to identify and promote opportunities for corn farmers while enhancing quality of life.
