Central Minn. rancher in fatal ATV accident identified

The 66-year-old Leader, Minn., man who died Wednesday following an all-terrain vehicle crash in central Minnesota has been identified as Lowell Judd Hulett.

According to a news release from the Cass County Sheriff's Office, Hulett was found deceased due to an ATV crash at about 3 a.m. Wednesday.

A report was made in the early morning hours regarding the missing rancher, who had not returned from hunting nuisance beavers Tuesday night on his ranch. Deputies and volunteers began a search of the area and later found the victim early Wednesday at the ATV accident scene in Moose Lake Township, north of Leader.

His death remains under investigation pending autopsy results from the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office.

Leader is located in southern Cass County, about 13 miles north of Motley, Minn.
