Life Connections event begins 8 a.m. Friday
WILLMAR — The West Central Tribune’s 16th annual Life Connections event will be 8 a.m. to
Tickets are $4 in advance and $5 at the door. Advance tickets are available at Cashwise, Cub Foods, Willmar Community Ed and Rec office in Jefferson Learning Center and the West Central Tribune.
Life Connections is a tradition for mature adults of Willmar and southwest Minnesota, providing exhibits, seminars, entertainment and probably most important — interaction — for those who attend.
This year’s entertainment will once again include an entertaining show by the musical Kingery family of Grove City and the Wendinger Band brings back the rich, musical heritage of New Ulm for dancing.
Highlights of the day include Dad’s Belgian waffles, bingo, Cub pie fest, seminars and prizes.
Transportation from the parking lot of the Civic Center to the front door will be provided compliments of Compassionate Care and their friendly drivers.
The 2015 Outstanding Senior Award, sponsored by West Central Sanitation, will be presented at Life Connections.
Back for a second year will be recognition of a senior-friendly nonprofit organization of the year, sponsored by the Willmar Area Community Foundation.
“It’s exhibitors, entertainment, seminars, prizes and a lot of fun,” said Kevin Smith, Life Connections coordinator. “This event has a real following here in Willmar. Whether you come join your friends for a waffle breakfast, pie and coffee in the afternoon, play bingo or dance, you are sure to have a great time.”
