WILLMAR -- Willmar police reported no injuries but at least three parked cars were visibly damaged Monday when an eastbound flatbed semi lost its load of steel tubing moments after clearing the traffic light at the intersection of Seventh Street Southwest and U.S. Highway 12.

The mishap occurred on the bypass curve sometime after 10 a.m. Monday and destroyed a 3-phase power junction box at the corner of Sixth Street and Litchfield Avenue. It appears no one was walking in the area where the 40-foot-long pieces of rectangular tubing landed.
