Two injured in crash north of Willmar
WILLMAR — Two people sustained minor injuries in a single vehicle crash Friday evening at the intersection of Kandiyohi County Road 5 and 15th Avenue Northwest.
A vehicle driven by Sirad Ahmed, 20, of Willmar, left the road in the intersection west of Ridgewater College and struck a tree. Ahmed and her 17-year-old passenger were transported to Rice Memorial Hospital and treated for minor injuries, according to a report from the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office.
Assisting at the scene were the Willmar Police Department, Willmar Fire Department, Willmar Ambulance Service and Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad.
Olivia man injured in ATV crash
OLIVIA — A 72-year-old Olivia man was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale Friday afternoon after an ATV crash.
According to a report from the Renville County Sheriff's Office, James Zenk was driving an ATV across Highway 71 about 2.5 miles north of U.S. Highway 212 when his ATV overturned onto its side. He was thrown from the ATV and sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Zenk was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and there were no other injuries, according to the sheriff's report.
Assisting at the scene were the Olivia Ambulance Service, Olivia Fire Department, North Memorial Air Care and Minnesota State Patrol.
WILLMAR — A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 500 block of 19th Street Southeast. The theft was reported Friday morning.
NEW LONDON — A pickup was reported stolen in the 24000 block of 55th Street Northeast. The theft was reported Friday afternoon.
WILLMAR — A woman reported that her wallet was stolen from her apartment in the 600 block of Pacific Avenue Southwest. The theft was reported Saturday morning.
WILLMAR — A motorcycle was reported missing Saturday morning in the 700 block of 13th Street Southwest. The owner said it had been seen the night before.
WILLMAR — A motorcycle was reported stolen from the 1100 block of Sixth Street Southwest. The theft was reported Sunday morning.
WILLMAR — A JBL bluetooth speaker was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 900 block of 14th Avenue Southwest Sunday morning.
BLOMKEST — A caller to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office Friday afternoon asked for extra patrols in the area to watch for beet trucks speeding through Blomkest.
WILLMAR — Willmar Police caught two juveniles on the roof of the Centre Point Mall in the 300 block of Fourth Street Southwest Friday evening. Officers spoke to one of the boys' mothers and left a message for the other.
