ROSEVILLE, Minn.—A Little Falls resident came forward to claim a $1 million Powerball prize.

"I always said, 'Someday I'm going to win,' and I did!" said Pam Lestico at the lottery's office in Roseville, a news release reported.

"She deserves it," said Lestico's daughter, Kelly Miller, in the release. "She has a heart of gold."

"I play every Wednesday and Saturday, just one ticket," said Lestico. "I've been playing forever."

Lestico discovered her win on Sunday morning. "She was surprisingly calm," said Lestico's daughter, Lori Finken, in the release.

"I was in my pajamas, jumping up and down and screaming," added Miller.

Casey's General Store, 1205 Haven Road in Little Falls, sold the winning ticket.

Lestico's quick-pick ticket matched the first five Powerball numbers drawn Dec. 9 to win the $1 million prize. The winning numbers on Dec. 9 were 25-36-37-55-60 and the Powerball number was 6.

Casey's General Store will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
