Funding for government lapses as short-term spending bill stalls in the Senate

Kandiyohi County plows are being pulled off the road at 4 p.m.

WILLMAR –The Kandiyohi County Highway Department is pulling plows from the roads at 4 p.m. today.

High winds and ground drifting is making visibility difficult for plow drivers, according to Dave Fritz, maintenance supervisor for the county.

Efforts to keep crews on the roads are becoming “futile,” he said. “We’re at the mercy of Mother Nature.”

Motorists should be advised that travel conditions could become difficult this afternoon and evening.

Fritz said the evening commute could be “dicey.”

Crews will be back on the roads at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
