Watson teen killed and three injured in accident north of Montevideo, Minn.

MONTEVIDEO – A Watson teenager was killed and three others were injured Sunday afternoon in an accident north of Montevideo.

Arian Mitlyng, 18, of Watson was killed in the 3:50 p.m. accident.

She was a passenger in a 2000 Ford Ranger that was driven by Charles O’Malley, 18, of Montevideo.

O’Malley and a second passenger, four-year old Kayden VanHueven, were seriously injured.

According to the State Patrol, O’Malley was going west on Chippewa County Road 13 when the vehicle entered the intersection of Highway 29 and broadsided a 2012 GMC Sierra driven by Thomas Finke, 51, of Holland.

Finke also sustained serious injuries in the crash.

The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department, Montevideo ambulance and Montevideo fire and rescue also assisted at the scene.
