Minneapolis man dies in north-central dirt bike crash
PINE RIVER, Minn.—A Minneapolis man died Friday, July 27, after the dirt bike he was driving crashed into another rider in a north-central Minnesota state forest.
Cass County Sheriff's Office personnel responded to the crash on the Bull Moose Trail in the Foot Hills State Forest at about 6:19 p.m. Friday. According to a news release, Jackson Snidarich, 24, of Minneapolis, had been riding north on a dirt bike when he rounded a corner on the trail and started to slide.
Snidarich collided with Beau Pearcy, 32, of Rice, who was riding south on another dirt bike. Responders tried to treat Snidarich for his injuries but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Pearcy was not injured
Both Snidarich and Pearcy were wearing helmets when they crashed.
The Foot Hills State Forest is about 60 miles southeast of Bemidji; or about 10 miles southwest of Backus and 17 miles northwest of Pine River.
