One injured in crash near Starbuck

STARBUCK – One person was injured Thursday morning in a three-vehicle crash along Highway 28 several miles east of Starbuck.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Nan Irene Hagerty, 57, of Starbuck, was heading east on Highway 28 and had slowed to make a left turn when it was struck in the rear by a Chrysler 300 driven by Catherine Janel Lien, 60, of Starbuck.

The collision pushed the Pontiac into the oncoming lane, where it was struck by a Chevrolet Traverse driven by Jeremiah Gene Stark, 40, of Glenwood.

Hagerty suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood, according to the State Patrol report.

The other drivers were not injured. Three children in the Stark vehicle were also uninjured.

Assisting the State Patrol were the Pope County Sheriff’s Office, Glenwood Police Department, Starbuck Police Department and the Glacial Ridge Ambulance.
