Atwater man injured in crash with semi
LAKE LILLIAN — An Atwater man was injured Thursday night when the vehicle he was driving collided with a semi near Lake Lillian.
The accident happened around 7:17 p.m. on state Highway 7, near Kandiyohi County Road 2.
According to the State Patrol, a 1999 Buick LeSabre, driven by Nicholas Dahlseid, 33, of Atwater, was going west on Highway 7 when it crossed the centerline and struck a 2013 Kenworth semi truck driven by William Deadrick, 47, of Litchfield.
Dahlseid was taken to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.
Deadrick and a passenger in the semi, Gena Martin, 43, of Cosmos, were not injured.
Belgrade man injured in Highway 23 crash
COLD SPRING — A Belgrade man was injured in a one-vehicle accident Thursday morning after his vehicle went off the road and struck the boulders holding the Welcome to Cold Spring sign.
According to the State Patrol, the accident happened at 9:15 a.m. on state Highway 23, just east of Chapel Road in Wakefield Township when a westbound 2009 Chevy Silverado, driven by Brian Hagen, 53, of Belgrade, went into the ditch, struck a power pole and then the granite boulders.
Road conditions were wet at the time.
Hagen was taken to CentraCare Hospital in St. Cloud with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.
The Stearns County Sheriff's Department and Cold Spring Police assisted at the scene of the accident.
SPICER — A 27-year-old man was arrested early Friday in the 100 block of Fifth Avenue on suspicion of domestic assault by strangulation. According to the initial police report, a woman reported that an intoxicated man had thrown her through a table and choked her.
WILLMAR — A 67-year-old man was arrested Thursday afternoon at Willmar Avenue and Lakeland Drive Southeast. He was arrested on suspicion of third-degree driving while impaired and third-degree refusal to test.
KANDIYOHI — A man was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault and terroristic threats Thursday afternoon in the 100 block of Eighth Street South.
WILLMAR — A Willmar woman reported that she had received harassing messages in texts and on Facebook and Instagram. The harassment was reported Friday morning.
