Fourth candidate files for Willmar School Board

WILLMAR — Teresa Larsen of Kandiyohi is the fourth candidate to file for one of three seats on the Willmar School Board.

Larsen filed Monday. She joins Jay Lawton, Michelle Marotzke and incumbent Mary Amon in running for the three seats open this year. All seats are for four-year terms.

Amon is the only incumbent to have filed. The current terms of Linda Mathaisen and Laura Warne will also expire at the end of the year.

Filing for Willmar School Board and other boards and councils that don't have primaries closes at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Candidates wishing to file for School Board may go to the Willmar School District main office on the second floor of the Willmar Education and Arts Center, 611 Fifth St. S.W.

Candidates must be at least 21 and be a district resident for at least 30 days before the election. The filing fee is $2.
