Spicer, Minn., man injured in accident near Hutchinson

HUTCHINSON – Two people, including a man from Spicer, were injured Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident near Hutchinson.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Stephen Ostlund, 56, of Spicer, and Caitlin Enright, 23, of Duluth, were injured when their vehicles collided in a broadside-type accident at the intersection of state Highways 7 and 22 around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The report said Ostlund was traveling west on state Highway 7 in a 2000 Buick Century and Enright was going east on Highway 7 in a 1998 VW Beetle when she attempted to turn north onto Highway 22, causing the vehicles to collide.

Both Ostlund and Enright were transported to the Hutchinson hospital by Allina Ambulance for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Besides the State Patrol, the McLeod County and Meeker County Sheriff's offices, Hutchinson Fire Department and Allina Ambulance responded to the scene.
