CANNON FALLS — One person received a non-life-threatening injury in a sideswipe collision between a van and a semi-truck Saturday afternoon on Highway 52, south of Cannon Falls.

Anthony J. Patzner, 65, of St. Charles was treated at Cannon Falls Hospital after his 2007 Dodge Caravan was sideswiped by the 2005 Peterbilt semi driven by Preston R. Eke, 28, of Raymond, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Both the van driven by Patzner and the semi driven by Eke were northbound on the four-lane highway. The patrol said the semi was passing the van in the left lane and merged into the van, sending the van into the median ditch. The patrol said Eke was not hurt.
