Regional meeting to review rejected absentee ballots is at 1:30 p.m. today in Willmar
WILLMAR - A regional meeting to review absentee ballots believed to be wrongly rejected in the U.S. Senate race between Norm Coleman and Al Franken takes place at 1:30 p.m. today at the Kandiyohi County Health and Human Services building.
Similar meetings are being held throughout the state by the Secretary of State's office.
County auditors and campaign representatives for both candidates are expected to attend the regional meetings to review, and possibly reach agreement, on which rejected absentee ballots should be forwarded to the Secretary of State by Friday. Those ballots are expected be counted and added to the tally of the candidates.
Today's meeting is open to the public.
