Little Crow Ski Team to return to Neer Park for weekend shows
NEW LONDON — The Little Crow Ski Team will return to Neer Park to perform on the Crow River following a two week hiatus due to the no-wake advisory on Kandiyohi County lakes and rivers issued on June 18.
The city of New London suspended the Little Crow Ski Team’s permit to ski during the no-wake advisory but rescinded the suspension once the no-wake advisory was lifted on Tuesday according to Trudie Guptill, city clerk for New London.
The Little Crow Ski Team has been working with Kandiyohi County Sheriff Dan Hartog to minimize the impact of performing on the river even though the no-wake advisory has been lifted according to Guptill in a recent interview.
“We put in some floating docks to launch some skiers off of to minimize the negative impact that our wakes may cause on nearby property,” said Stewart Giere, Vice President for the Little Crow Ski Team. “Although, the water levels on the Little Crow River are almost back to normal, these docks are something we will use until we can get back out and assess the situation with Sheriff Hartog again. With water levels where they are it’s possible that we may remove them as early as next week.”
Pre-show performances begin at 6:30 and the show begins at 7:30 on Friday and Saturday at Neer Park in New London. Tickets are available for purchase on site.
