Some Renville County parks reopened

OLIVIA — Some county parks in Renville County have reopened with some restrictions.

The county closed all its parks after June rains caused flooding.

Birch Coulee County Park and Lake Allie County Park are open.

Beaver Falls County Park is partially open, with restricted areas identified by cones, barricades and/or orange fence.

At Skalbekken County Park, the only area open is the shelter area off County Road 10.

Vicksburg County Park is open only at the shelter area off of County Road 6.

The Anderson Lake and Mack Lake county parks will remain closed.

Meeker County lifts no-wake advisory on Koronis

LITCHFIELD — Meeker County Sheriff Jeff Norlin has lifted the emergency 30-day no-wake order for navigational waters in Meeker County on Lake Koronis.

The no-wake advisory remains in effect for other Meeker County lakes. Norlin asks that operators of all watercraft be cognizant of their wakes to avoid causing shoreline erosion or damage in areas with high water levels.


MILAN — The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a driver was seriously injured in a one-vehicle rollover crash Friday morning on Highway 59 south of Milan.

The driver of the vehicle was not identified in the State Patrol report available Friday evening. The person was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, according to the report.

A 2004 Chevrolet Impala was southbound on Highway 59 when the driver apparently went onto the shoulder, over corrected, lost control, entered the ditch and rolled, according to the report.


RAYMOND — A battery and a black “Hummingbird” depth finder were reported stolen from a boat in the 600 block of Cofield Street South in Raymond. The theft was reported at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

KANDIYOHI — A resident in the 400 block of Atlantic Avenue reported that an Alray trailer had been stolen. The theft was reported at about 3 p.m. Thursday.

Property damage

SPICER — A homeowner in Spicer reported Wednesday afternoon that the rim had been torn from a basketball hoop in the 100 block of Lake Avenue South in Spicer.

WILLMAR — A rear bedroom window and screen were reportedly broken out in a home in the 600 block of Charlotte Street Southeast. The damage was reported shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday. Residents said nothing appeared to have been stolen.
