Kandiyohi County Board to award bids Tuesday
WILLMAR -- The Kandiyohi County Board of Commissioners is expected to award bids Tuesday for a bridge replacement in Lake Elizabeth Township and chloride application for dust control on various county roads.
The bids are the first item on the agenda of the regular board meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The board also will discus sanitary sewer improvements at County Park 3.
A contract with the Law Enforcement Labor Services union will be presented for approval. The county had been in mediation with three units of the union representing sheriff's deputies, dispatchers and correctional officers.
Environmental services director Jeff Bredberg will recommend to the board the purchase of a front-end loader for the landfill.
Changes in passport regulations are on the agenda, the board is slated to hear a request from a lake association matching funds to check for invasive species, and spraying for tentworm caterpillars will be discussed.
Prior to the regular board meeting, the members meet as the Family Services Committee at 9 a.m.
The meetings are on the second floor of the Health and Human Services building, located at 2200 23rd St. N.E., Willmar.
