Wind chill advisory continues through noon today across west central Minnesota

WILLMAR - The National Weather Service has continued the wind chill advisory through noon today for west central and central Minnesota.

Wind chill readings ranging from 25 below to 30 below zero will continue this morning across much of west central and central Minnesota, expecially along and west of a line from Redwood Falls to St. Cloud to Mora.

An arctic airmass is combining with light north winds to produce brutally cold winds chills across the region this Christmas morning.

These cold wind chills are occurring as northwest winds near 10 mph combine with sub zero temperatures.

As of 7 a.m., the temperature in WIllmar was 11 below and the wind chill was 25 below.
