Update: One incumbent and 2 newcomers elected to NLS School Board

NEW LONDON -- One incumbent and two newcomers were elected to the New London-Spicer School Board Tuesday.

Seven candidates, including three incumbents, had filed for the three seats on the board.

The top vote-getters were Susan Lange with 2,323 votes, Lucinda Dahlberg with 2,219 votes and Renee Nolting, an incumbent, with 1,964 votes.

Incumbents David Kilpatrick and Naomi Johnson were defeated.

Kilpatrick had 1,939 votes and Johnson had 1,702 votes.

Other candidates included Deidre Lynch with 1,533 votes and Larry Nelson with 1,208 votes.

The candidates were elected to serve four-year terms on the board.
