Willmar man pleads guilty to crim sex
WILLMAR — Chase John Hodapp, 26, of Willmar, pleaded guilty Thursday to a charge of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree.
According to the criminal complaint, Hodapp had sex with a girl who was 14 years old. The incident took place Jan. 16 in Hodapp's home.
During an interview Jan. 18 with police at Rice Memorial Hospital, where the victim was taken for a sexual assault exam, the girl said she had sneaked out of her home Jan. 16 and was picked up by Hodapp and taken to his home.
The girl, Hodapp and another male spent the night talking but in the early morning hours she said Hodapp repeatedly asked her for sex.
The girl said she said "no" but eventually "relented," according to the report.
That scenario was repeated later that day before the girl left the house on her own.
Sentencing is scheduled for May 26.
WILLMAR — A homeowner in the 600 block of Charlotte Street Southeast told police someone had entered their home and taken property. The incident was reported at 10:33 a.m. Thursday.
Drunk at the door
NEW LONDON — The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office was called to a home in the 18000 block of state Highway 9 Northeast with a report that a man was pounding on the window of the home. Wearing a T-shirt and jeans, the man was reportedly all wet. According to the initial report, the individual was taken to detox.
