UPDATE: Winter storm warning remains in effect for parts of west central Minnesota; up to 6 inches of snow possible

WILLMAR - A winter storm warning remains in effect until midnight Saturday for much of west central Minnesota.

Snow is expected to move across the region, beginning Saturday night, northwest of a line from Canby to Montevideo to Sauk Centre to Mille Lacs. Three to six inches of snow accumulation is possible through the night, according to the National Weather Service.

With the morning rains across the area, new snowfall and overnight wind gusts of up to 30 mph are expected to make area roads icy and hazardous. Travelers can visit for the latest updates on road conditions.
