The Willmar City Council is considering establishing a redevelopment tax increment financing district around these lots along 1st Street South and Minnesota and Monongalia Avenues. One developer is already interested in a project on the west side of 1st Street.

The roof was damaged, there are cracks in the interior walls and about 40 percent of the mature trees in the cemetery were damaged in an early-morning storm Wednesday. Church Council President Alan Olson said church services will be held on Sunday.
