Spicer lake cabin lost to early morning fire

This cabin on Indian Beach Road along Green Lake was damaged in a fire early Friday morning.

SPICER — A Green Lake cabin burned in an early morning fire today along Indian Beach Road this morning.

According to Tige Sluka, Spicer Fire Department assistant chief, a passerby reported the blaze around 2:30 a.m. this morning and when fire crews arrived the cabin at 12676 Indian Beach Road was fully engulfed in fire.

The Spicer Department, along with New London fire and ambulance crews, Spicer First Responders and the Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad, helped to battle the blaze until 6:30 a.m. this morning.

The State Fire Marshal was on the scene to determine the cause of the fire, Sluka said. The cabin was a total loss.
