Bernick's to lease out portion of its Willmar building
WILLMAR -- Bernick's has announced it will be leasing out part of its building located at 2400 19th Ave. S.W. in Willmar.
John Torgerson, Bernick's chief operating officer, said the company began serving customers in the Willmar area with Pepsi and other products in 1970.
Torgerson said it has become necessary to evaluate infrastructure needs as changes in the industry have occurred. As a result, Bernick's no longer needs the full capacity of the 50,000-square-foot building and will be leasing out a portion of this space.
Torgerson said Bernick's will continue its commitment to a long-term strategy of growth and success in west central Minnesota.
He said current employees will not be affected by the decision and will continue to work at the Willmar facility. Bernick's is a family-owned business, providing full service beverage, vending and food service in central Minnesota since 1916. The company is headquartered in Waite Park and has facilities in Barnum, Bemidji, Brainerd, Duluth and Willmar, and Dresser, Wis.
