WILLMAR -- Two juvenile males, ages 15 and 17, were taken into custody and face charges for felony theft after allegedly shoplifting more than $1,000 worth of goods. Willmar police officers responded to the report at 9:41 p.m. Thursday at the Wal-Mart SuperCenter.
WILLMAR -- A stolen bicycle was recovered when it was brought to a local repair shop and the serial number was matched by the shop owner.
The bicycle was brought Thursday afternoon to Rick's Schwinn in Willmar by a juvenile male. He said he had traded an X-Box for the bicycle.
* Jorge Luis Borge Hernandez, 45, of Willmar, was sentenced Friday to 15 months in prison for felony domestic abuse - strangulation.
The court stayed the sentence for four years provided he abide by terms of probation. He must pay fines and fees of $840, serve 47 days in jail, and successfully complete a domestic assault program. He was given credit for 47 days served.
Hernandez was charged for an April 28 incident in Willmar in which he verbally argued with a woman before grabbing her and choking her.
* Jennifer Ann Jacobson, 44, of Kandiyohi, was sentenced Friday to 90 days in jail for receiving stolen property.
The court stayed 50 days of the sentence and allowed credit for 40 days served. The judge also ordered the defendant to serve one year of probation and pay fines and fees of $450.
Jacobson was charged with taking a trailer valued at $1,100 on Feb. 11. She had posted bail for the trailer's owner and allegedly told him she would not return the trailer until he paid her the $150 bail.
A charge of fifth-degree possession of drugs was dismissed under terms of a plea agreement.
